Central Night Shelter began as an act of mercy in 1981. An ecumenical partnership was formed, volunteers organized, to meet humanitarian need, after two homeless men froze to death under a gold dome. They were found huddled together under the far-l The volunteers @centralnightshelter showed up tonight with their presence and Supplies. More than 100 coats were shared, just tonight, w/those in Atlanta w/ critical need. We were able to serve breakfast, lunch & dinner to 50 persons. And provi It is Cold & Wet outside. The coat that was warm last night, is most likely drenched and heavy & cold tonight. We begin again. #centralnightshelteratl averages 400 coats/week.
